Everyone is the other and no one is himself.
A series of live performances and multi-media installations by a group of unitary musicians performing and un-performing under the name Musifistation. The quote in the title of the piece is taken from the German philosopher Martin Heidegger’s book “Being and time”, in which he analyses the concept of Being and what it means to be ‘Out There’ inhabiting the world.
The environment in the performance is created unscored and unconducted and attempts to allow for the possibility of a transcendental passage for the viewer to ‘Uninhabit’ their Being for a moment, while emerged and absorbed in and out of “Dasein” (existence of determinate being), with the performers.
Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh’s book on mindful living “The art of Communicating”, is played in a cupboard and the musicians attempt to remain in a state of flux throughout the performance. The antiphonal nature of the performance is in line with only taking place once there is participation by the audience.
The performance only comes into existence when experienced by the audience listening in.
Anti Phonal in nature yet remaining in a state of flux.
The ephemeral nature of the music inhabits the space, members of the band and the audience with elements of interactivity and multi-media.
To Exist is the ability to highlight what is beyond ourselves Being with,

Playing with reality and fake nothing is ever recorded or played the same way twice.
Conducted through feel and an openness lends the performance to encourage the members to be without a leader or any form of dictarorship melting into chaos and harmony as well as being a vessel to create a utopian world to immerse.
Maybe its not about expressing an idea its more about creating something in a room that you cant hear to begin with. And when you start to hear the sound it changes your perception of the room.
Always experimenting without any goal or agenda or set of instructions. Longevity is at the core and an attempt to improvise and direct yourself to remain in sync together and creates a dynamic approach.
